no sooner… than…表示“一……就”，连词than 连接的两个分句中，前一个分句常用过去完成时，后一分句用一般过去时。如果no sooner位于句首，则前一分句中的助动词had 也要提前，放在no sooner之后。如：
I had no sooner reached home than it began to rain.
No sooner had I gone to the metro than it went away.
