Meeting God
There was once a little boy who wanted to meet God. He knew it was a long trip to the countryside, so he filled his schoolbag with basic necessary items from the fridge: biscuits, candy, chocolate pie, a pear, a pancake, a kilo of grapes, and also included some bottles of coke and lemonade, even a balloon, and he started his trip down the road.
He had not made much progress when he met a granny who was sitting beside a tree in the park. The boy sat down next to her and opened his bag. He was about to take a drink from his bag when he noticedthat the old lady looked hungry, so he offered her a biscuit. She happily accepted it and smiled at him. Her smile was so pretty that the boy wanted to see it again, so he offered her a bottle of coke. Once again she smiled at him. The boy was pleased! They sat there all afternoon eating and smiling in silence, comfortable in each other’s company, but they never said a word, had no dialogue. It was aquiet, but special picnic.
As it grew dark, the boy realized how tired he was and wanted to go home for dinner. He got up to leave, before he had hardly gone more than a dozen meters, he turned around, ran back to the granny and, with energy, gave her a kiss. She gave him her biggest smile ever.
When the boy ran up the stairs and opened the door to his own house a short time later, his mother, a secretary, who was doing housework, was surprised by the look of joy on his face. She stopped hersweeping and tidying and asked him, “What did you do today that made you so happy?” He repliedwith pride and a laugh, “I had lunch with God. You know what? She’s got the most beautiful smile I’ve ever seen.”
Later, the old woman also returned to her home with pleasure. Her won wondered about the look ofpeace on her face and he asked, “Mother, what did you do today that made you so happy?” She repliedwith a breath, “I ate biscuits in the park with God. You know, he’s much younger than I expected. I wonder how old he it.”
